We are honoured to share some of the certifications and recognitions which validated our efforts and commitments to be the preferred partner with Malaysia’s food industry.
Halal JAKIM
At Markaids, our food ingredients are blended in an environment with a good sanitisation program that complies with Halal Thoyyiban and JAKIM standards. Markaids continuously sources and provide ingredients which are Halal to local food manufacturers in order to meet market requirements.
ISO 22000:2018 (Food Safety Management System)
ISO 22000 was designed as an accessible, globally accepted standard, and is applicable to organisations of all sizes, involved in any aspect of the food supply chain. The standard covers the key components for ensuring food safety including interactive communication, system management and hazard control. Being certified to ISO 22000, shows that we do not compromise on food quality or safety.

Enterprise 50 — 14th Place
Markaids has been awarded the Enterprise 50 (E50) Award 2022; ranking 14th among the TOP 50 outstanding companies on the list.
The E50 Award, presented by SME Corp. Malaysia (an agency under the Ministry of Entrepreneur Development) and Deloitte — recognize, support, and reward the best Malaysian companies in all sectors. The applicants are evaluated and ranked based on various parameters from management processes; innovation; market strategy; to the adaptation of digitalisation within their companies.
SME Competitiveness Rating for Enhancement (SCORE)
SME Competitiveness Rating for Enhancement (SCORE), is a diagnostic tool used to rate and enhance competitiveness of SMEs. It assigns star ratings to indicate the performance level of SMEs based on a 7 assessment criteria — financial strength, business performance, human resource, technology acquisition and adoption, certification and market presence.
Being rated 4-STAR SCORE highlights Markaids’ strength in Technical Capability, Innovation as well as Management Capability.
Shared Prosperity Organisation
Our bonus structure, increments, rewards, and expectations for promotion are made fully transparent. Our team understands from Day 1 that we remunerate and recognise based on results and performance. As a result of this, Markaids is one of the earliest companies to be certified as a Shared Prosperity Organisation (Cert No. 000024) — an acknowledgement that we practice a Productivity-Linked Wage System (PLWS).

We are honoured to be recognised with Net Offset Virtual Aggregation (NOVA) Programme for using renewable energy, reducing our carbon footprint, and being more environmentally sustainable. This recognition is certified by SEDA (Sustainable Energy Development Authority).

Markaids HQ in Petaling Jaya is fully equipped with food ingredients manufacturing capabilities. By having our own dry and liquid manufacturing facilities, it allows us to support our customers by providing custom food solutions. Markaids currently produces a number of functional food ingredients for processed meat, surimi, bakery and vegetarian food application.
